The Golden 1 Credit Union Leadership Scholars Program
The Golden 1 Credit Union Leadership Scholars program offers small to medium sized credit unions scholarships to executive level leadership programs. This program, funded by The Golden 1 Credit Union and administered by the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation, is available to credit unions up to $300 million in assets. Funds are available on a sliding scale, based on asset size:
| Below $50 million in assets: |
100% of tuition and travel expenses |
| $50 million - $100 million: |
100% of tuition; no travel expenses |
| $100 million - $300 million: |
75% of tuition |
The Leadership Scholars program is available for the following leadership development programs:
- CUES CEO Institute
- CCUL/CUES Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard Business School
- Other executive leadership programs, subject to Selection Committee approval

The deadline for 2009 programs is July 31, 2008. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of August 2008 and formal presentation will take place at the Beacon Awards Gala on November 4, 2008.
