2007 RMJ Foundation Scholarship Guidelines

The Richard Myles Johnson Foundation has a commitment to education that develops leaders and financially sound consumers. The Foundation provides educational scholarships to credit union staff and volunteers.

Scholarship eligibility is based upon the applicant’s need for funding, relevance of the training to the applicant, the applicant’s own pursuits of education, and the applicant’s involvement in the credit union community. An application process is administered for the fair and equitable funding of educational training.

Below is guideline for evaluating maximum allowable benefit. Unique circumstances such as credit union financial hardship may result in grant awards beyond the guidelines listed below. The Foundation also considers such criteria as the credit union’s financial strength and funds the Foundation has available.

Asset Categories Maximum Amount per Year

$0 – 8 Million $2,500
$8 – 25 Million $1,500
$25 Million + $750

These guidelines are subject to modification at any time and are contingent upon the availability of funds. The Foundation disburses scholarship funds following completion of conference/seminar and verification of attendance, as well as completion of an evaluation of the program attended.
