Bite of Reality
Facilitators Workshop
On September 18th and 19th we held our semi-annual Facilitators Training/Workshops for California and Nevada credit unions.
We trained 11 new facilitators from 8 different credit unions, discussed Bite of Reality App updates, and shared best practices. Jason Anderson, College and Career Consultant for Community America Credit Union, joined the Sacramento workshop and gave the attendees a great presentation on Generation Z and how they view finances and the world today.
BOR Events
In the third quarter of 2019 we had 45 BOR events reaching roughly 3,200 students. We are on our way to meet our goal of reaching 28,000 students.
Valley First and Credit Union of Southern California have recently joined the Bite of Reality team and are working on putting together their first events.
RMJ Partners with FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America
The RMJ Foundation is proud to team up with FBLA, a high school program that focuses on building future business leaders, to bring the Bite of Reality program to their chapters. We look forward to matching up credit unions in California with their local FBLA chapter.
We will also be attending the FBLA annual conference in northern and southern California. We will team up with local credit unions (still to be determined) and have Bite of Reality as a breakout session for students and teachers at the conferences. If you would like to join us and volunteer, please contact Jenn Lucas at [email protected].
Northern California Conference:
Marriott Hotel, Santa Clara, CA: Saturday, October 19, 2019
Southern California Conference:
Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County, Orange, CA: Saturday, November 16, 2019
